What are the most effective ways to treat prostate adenoma (prostate) without surgery at home

Adenoma, or benign prostatic hyperplasia, can greatly worsen a man’s life. This disease is practically not treated with conservative methods, but medications can delay the inevitable - surgical intervention. About how prostate adenoma is manifested and whether treatment without surgery is possible, we should talk in more detail.

The degree and stage of development of adenoma

The older a man becomes, the more likely he is to be struck by a benign prostate tumor

Adenoma of the prostate gland is an age-related disease caused by the specifics of changes in the body of a man. The main reason for its development is a change in the hormonal background. In general, an enlarged prostate with age is an absolutely normal natural process, however, in some cases, the proliferation of tissues occurs quickly and provokes the appearance of a number of severe symptoms.

The risk of developing adenoma increases with age, but also depends on the initial size of the prostate gland. The fact is that in some men the organ is smaller, and then hyperplasia develops very slowly. In general, in the age group of 60 years, this disease occurs in 50% of cases, older than 80 years - in 70-80% (according to various sources).

A feature of pathology is slow progression. From the beginning of the pathological process of tissue proliferation until the onset of the first symptoms, ten years can pass. In this regard, doctors distinguish 3 degrees of adenoma.

  1. At the first stage of the development of the disease (grade 1), there is a slight increase in the size of the organ and a slowly growing benign tumor. In many patients, symptoms may be absent or expressed so weakly that a man brushes off discomfort and does not seek specialist help. In general, mild dysuric disorders are characteristic of this stage of the disease. They are manifested by an increase in the frequency of visiting the restroom, night urges and weaker urine flow, compared with a healthy man. Despite the inconvenience, the bladder is not compressed and emptied completely, so the discomfort with an adenoma of the first degree can be called moderate or mild.
  2. Grade 2 of the disease is characterized by an increase in the size of hyperplasia. The result is irritation of the bladder and urethra, which leads to an increase in the tone of the organ. In addition, the prostate swells and grows in size, so the discomfort intensifies. Typical symptoms: narrowing of the urethra, incomplete emptying of the bladder, frequent difficulty urinating in small portions. This stage is dangerous with complications arising from the fact that a small amount of urine is constantly stagnating in the bladder. Complications are manifested by inflammation of the bladder and infection of the kidneys, possibly developing kidney stone or urolithiasis. In addition, the risk of urethral stricture is sharply increased, which requires surgical manipulation to restore the bladder emptying process.
  3. Third degree adenoma is the most dangerous form of the disease. It is accompanied by constant discomfort. If in the early stages of the disease a man is attached to the restroom due to constant urge to the toilet, at the last stage a feeling of fullness of the bladder remains, but it is impossible to completely empty it.The risk of developing severe renal diseases, up to insufficiency, increases sharply, due to the constant retention of a small amount of urine.

In addition to changes in the internal organs, the main difference between grade 1 and 3 adenomas is that in the first case, the symptoms are successfully stopped with pills, and in the second case, drug therapy is practically ineffective.

Honey and Propolis

Beekeeping products are often used as folk remedies for prostatitis.

It is scientifically proven that they have a rich chemical composition and help a person fight infections.

It is believed that regular use of honey can inhibit the development of cancer processes in organs and tissues.

Therefore, you need to eat a few teaspoons of honey in the morning on an empty stomach and before bedtime, you can breed it in water.

To eliminate the symptoms of prostatitis, you can take a mixture of honey and fresh juice from celery stalks, taken in equal amounts, for a long time. The tool must be prepared immediately before taking and drink 1 tbsp. l 3 times a day.

Healing candles can be made on the basis of honey. At 1 tbsp. l need to take 3 tbsp. l rye flour and 1 fresh chicken egg. Mix the mass thoroughly, make small candles and freeze.

Use after morning and evening toilet.

Of no less valuable propolis in composition, home rectal suppositories can also be made. In 200 ml of alcohol you need to dissolve 40 g of propolis and add 3 g of cocoa butter. From the resulting mixture, suppositories are formed, which are introduced into the rectum overnight for 30 days.

Using folk remedies such as beekeeping products to treat prostate adenomas can improve the quality of life of men without pills.

Bee death

Traditional healers say that using bee mortality, it is possible to cure prostate adenoma without surgery.

Pour 0.5 g of water with 100 g of death, put on medium heat and simmer for 2 hours. Cool, filter and take 1 tbsp. l 2 times a day until the condition improves.

Medicinal plants

Using various herbs for prostate adenoma, it is possible to achieve improvement without the use of chemical drugs.

Herbal treatment of signs of the disease in most cases has a positive effect.

Parsley

Parsley is a spicy plant that contains a large number of biologically active substances. In order for this herbal remedy for the treatment of the prostate to have a positive effect, you need to take 1 tbsp daily for a long time (at least 30 days). l freshly squeezed juice from stems and leaves.

Healing broth is prepared from parsley seeds. 1 tbsp. l grind dry seed in a blender or coffee grinder, pour 200 ml of boiling water and cook for 15 minutes. Cool, strain and take 1 tbsp. l 6 times a day.

Aspen bark

To treat prostate adenoma without surgery, you can use homemade tincture prepared on the basis of aspen bark.

For 200 ml of high-quality vodka, 100 g of dry raw materials are taken. Insist 14 days in a dark, cool place.

You need to take the medicine 3 times a day, dissolving 20 drops in a glass of water. The course of treatment is at least 2 months.

How to treat prostate adenoma without surgery

To confirm the initial diagnosis and prescribe treatment, a whole range of studies is needed: blood and urine tests, rectal examination, ultrasound, and, if necessary, a pelvic x-ray. If the disease is detected at an early stage, medication may be sufficient.

Medication for prostate adenoma

Of course, the treatment of prostate adenoma without surgery is more gentle, however, self-selected drugs can not only not improve health, but in some cases even worsen it.Only an urologist should choose oral medications (tablets, potions) or rectal (suppositories).

There are several types of oral medications, each of which solves a specific problem. For example, “Afala” relieves swelling of the prostate gland, pain during urination and restores the tone of glandular tissues. Vitaprost is also decongestant, but it also improves the tone of the bladder. "Gentos" restores the tone of the bladder, increases blood flow in it and fights prostate inflammation, and "Tadenan" helps to restore reproductive function.

Suppositories or suppositories, such as Bioprost, Vitaprost or Tykveol, relieve inflammation, help the gland decrease in volume, improve blood circulation in the bladder and other pelvic organs, and also positively affect reproductive function.

As a rule, the above drugs are taken in a comprehensive manner, the doctor selects them individually for the patient, but much depends on the man himself, in particular on how carefully he will adhere to the schedule for taking the medicines prescribed to him.

In some cases - and only when the prostate adenoma is in the first or initial stage - the urologist can offer the patient to use drugs with the active substance of natural origin (dietary supplements).

Photodynamic Therapy

A treatment in which photosensitizers are injected into the patient's body. Helps to deal with several problems in the body: tissue pathologies, inflammation, as well as malignant and benign tumors, including prostate adenoma.

Ozone therapy

The basis of this therapy are the properties of ozone. Active oxygen in the composition of the latter helps to establish microcirculation of vitamins and minerals in the cells, and also improves metabolism. Ozone also has good disinfecting properties, the procedure is practically devoid of side effects, combined with physiotherapy and medication.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is used either in the very early stages of the disease, or to prevent relapse and complications after treatment. Physiotherapy in the treatment of prostate adenoma is divided into two types:

  • the first, which includes magneto, laser and inductotherapy, helps activate blood flow and stimulate the body's defenses,
  • the second, including cryotherapy, thermoablation, transurethral needle ablation and transurethral microwave thermotherapy, locally fights prostate inflammation, eliminating symptoms and preventing regression.

Diet therapy

Even the most modern therapeutic agents will have only a temporary effect without help from the patient himself. He will need to adhere to a diet that the doctor will select and prescribe. Prostate adenoma is a benign tumor that affects the process of urination. In order to prevent an increase in gland size, you need to follow the basic principles of nutrition: the diet should be light and balanced so as not to provoke weight gain, provide the body with the necessary vitamins and minerals, limit the amount of fluid consumed and not cause constipation.

Exercise therapy

In the treatment of prostate adenoma, physiotherapy exercises (LFK) occupies a special place. It is prescribed both in the early stages of the disease, and after surgery - as a rehabilitation of the patient.

Lifestyle revision

Lifestyle changes are not in themselves a therapeutic measure, but they help to prevent the onset of symptoms of the disease. So, patients are recommended:

  • Avoid hypothermia
  • reduce fluid intake two hours before bedtime,
  • reduce the use of coffee and alcohol, diuretics, antihistamines and decongestants,
  • add daily exercise.

Folk remedies

Herbal medicine is an alternative treatment for prostate adenoma, but by and large is also responsible for the prevention of the disease. Patients are invited to take, for example, an infusion of onion husks mixed with honey, or pumpkin seeds mixed with honey and walnuts - these folk remedies help normalize the urinary tract.

Minimally invasive treatment

In the case when the disease was asymptomatic and was not detected at the initial stage or when the patient refused treatment, as well as in the event of complications, conservative means to combat prostate adenoma may be ineffective. It will require a “correction” of the gland. However, modern medicine allows you to get by with minimal surgical intervention, that is, turn to minimally invasive procedures, in particular endoscopy. This reduces the risk of postoperative injury - both physical and psychological. Since the incision through which the endoscope is inserted is minimal, the patient loses less blood and does not require postoperative rehabilitation. All these factors are important for patients of any age.

There are several ways to minimally invasive intervention in the body with prostate adenoma.

Transurethral Resection (TUR)

The most common operation, equivalent in results of surgery or adenomectomy. However, it has a number of limitations. Adenoma should not exceed 60 ml, and the amount of residual urine - 150 ml. In addition, TUR can not be used if the patient suffers from renal failure.

During this operation, parts of the prostate that protrude into the urethra are removed by a resectoscope introduced by the transurethral method (an endoscope with a diameter of not more than one cm, equipped with a camera, a light source, an electric loop to remove the tumor, and a fluid supply system to irrigate the removal site). Then cut off fragments of the tumor are removed by a stream of water. This frees up the path for the outflow of urine.

Laser destruction

Removal of the protruding portion of the prostate is also non-invasive, however, in this case, a laser with a wavelength of 532 nm is not used, but a laser. During laser cauterization, the tumor almost instantly goes into a gaseous state, which avoids bleeding and removes almost the entire inflamed area of the prostate. This procedure involves sophisticated equipment and is one of the most expensive.

It is important

Prostate adenoma is not considered a “disease of the elderly,” and prevention is important even for 20 year old men. Nevertheless, at the age of 50-60, a man should pay special attention to his health.

Elderberry

You can treat prostate adenoma at home using elderberry, from which you need to squeeze fresh juice.

1 tbsp. l freshly squeezed juice is taken in the morning on an empty stomach, after drinking 1 glass of water.

A sign of positive changes in the body is a slight increase in body temperature.

You can prepare fresh juice for the winter. Take 1 kg of black elderberry and sugar. Pass the fruits through a juicer, add sugar. Boil and boil gently. Pour juice into sterilized bottles, pasteurize for 20 minutes. Drink 1 tbsp. l in the morning on an empty stomach. The course of treatment is 1.5-2 weeks.

Surgical treatment of prostate adenoma (adenomectomy)

Adenomectomy is a radical method of intervention. Urologists, who have at their disposal a whole arsenal of medications and minimally invasive drugs, as well as several types of preventive and supportive therapy, resort to open surgery in extreme cases. There are enough articles on the Internet telling that surgical intervention is the most effective way to get rid of prostate adenoma.

This is not true.Firstly, as you can see above, there are many alternative ways to restore a man’s quality of life, and secondly, no doctor will direct the patient to the operating table without making sure that the tumor cannot be stopped in another way. However, in the later stages, when the disease is too neglected, adenomectomy may be the only way out.

Removal of adenoma nodes is performed by a doctor through an open incision. After the operation, the patient needs to spend several days in the hospital, and in the following weeks to follow the rehabilitation program.

To avoid surgical intervention, doctors insist not only on immediate treatment at the clinic when the first symptoms appear, such as intermittent urination, but also on regular preventive examinations. These simple steps can help you identify prostate adenoma at an early stage.

Celandine

Among the folk remedies for treating prostate adenoma in men include homemade celandine-based drugs.

1 tbsp. l fresh leaves must be filled with 200 ml of boiling water and let stand for 3 hours. Drink an infusion of 1 tbsp. l 3 times a day before meals.

Asparagus

Folk remedies for prostate adenoma may include various herbal infusions. Asparagus is a common food plant. For the treatment of adenoma, its roots will be needed.

They are crushed, filled with 1 glass of boiling water and kept on medium heat for 10-15 minutes. Filter and take 1 tsp. every 4 hours.

Symptoms of Urinary Disorder

Although the disease is called "benign", it manifests itself as a significant deterioration in the quality of life:

  • there is a need to urinate at night, and more than once, which leads to sleep disturbance and general overwork,
  • increased daily urination (normal frequency no more than every 2 hours in the afternoon),
  • there is no feeling of complete emptying of the bladder,
  • difficulty urinating: you need to make extra efforts, urinate in several steps,
  • sharp and unstoppable urination.

Having difficulty urinating is caused by the fact that the tumor, and to a greater extent severe edemadeveloping in the prostate (especially with 1 and 2 degrees of BPH), squeeze the urethra. At the same time, efforts to “push” urine are not enough to completely empty the bladder. Due to the residual urine in the bladder, repeated frequent urge to empty occurs. This explains the frequency of urination, both day and night. Pain during urinationnot characteristic.

The brightness of the manifestation of the above symptoms does not depend on the size of the tumor itself (it can be large, and the quality of life may decrease slightly). This is often associated with the direction of tumor growth. In this regard, it is very important for men after 40 to regularly visit a urologist, especially with changes in the process of urination and to take preventive measures (for example, phoning). In the first stages of BPH, the likelihood of a positive result from conservative treatment is still high. without surgery.

Burdock

To get rid of prostate BPH, treatment with folk remedies should include drugs from the roots of burdock. They can be prepared for future use on their own.

They are cleaned from the ground, crushed and 1 tbsp. l raw materials pour 250 ml of boiling water. The capacity is put on medium heat and held for 15-20 minutes. Cool and filter. You need to drink this remedy 1 cognac glass 3-4 times a day.

From the leaves of burdock, you can also prepare an infusion. 2 tbsp. l chopped raw materials pour 200 ml of boiling water and stand for 2 hours. Drink a few sips 3-5 times a day.

There are 3 stages of BPH:

Symptoms and signs

Stage 1 (compensated)

The tone of the muscles of the bladder is still sufficient to push urine through the narrowed channel, but you have to make an effort.

There is no residual urine.

Patients may notice:

  • the act of urination does not begin immediately
  • the volume of urine released at a time decreases
  • weakening the pressure of the urine stream,
  • increased urgency during the day, including sudden (imperative),
  • increased urgency at night (nocturia), first 1 time per night, then 2-3 times or more often.

This stage can be quite long: 10 years or more and depends on the initial state of the body.

  • residual urine is detected (there is no feeling of complete emptying of the bladder),
  • the tone of the muscles of the bladder is weakened, but it still allows you to push urine through the narrowed channel, while significant tension of the abdominal muscles and diaphragm is required,
  • intermittent urination is carried out in several stages with periods of rest,
  • patients do not feel complete emptying of the bladder at the end of the process,
  • the first signs appear associated with impaired renal function (thirst, a feeling of dryness and bitterness in the mouth).

The resources of the muscular wall of the bladder are completely depleted, the bladder is similar to an extended bag with urine, which is squeezed out only dropwise. At this stage, dangerous complications such as chronic renal failure, urolithiasis, etc. are almost inevitably detected. There is a high probability of acute urinary retention. In the absence of medical care, the patient may die.

An international classification with an IPSS rating * is also used:

1. Minor stage - 0-7 points.

2. The moderate stage is 8-19 points.

3. Severe stage - 20-35 points.

* IPSS (International Prostate Symptom Score) - an international system for the total assessment of prostate diseases (download a form for determining the stage of BPH).

Hazel

It is possible to treat prostate adenoma without surgery with the help of leaves and branches of hazel. Of these, a decoction is prepared for oral administration.

Plant materials are crushed, poured with water and kept on fire for 0.5 hours. Allow to infuse until the product acquires a dark color with a golden hue. Take 2 times a day until the condition improves.

The course of treatment is at least 7 days.

An important condition for the effective treatment of prostate adenoma

Under effective and gentle treatment prostate adenomas understood removal of edema in the area of the tumor, slowing and stopping the growth of the tumor, as a result of which urination is restored and the quality of life is improved.

Reducing the frequency of urination and strengthening the stream is achieved, first of all, due to relieve edema in this region. If the problem of urination was caused only by a tumor, then no drug therapy and physiotherapy (phoning) would ever improve urination without surgery. However treatment without surgery is possible!

Edema is usually a reaction of the body to an excess of dead cells in this area. Obviously, dead cells begin to accumulate for 2 main reasons:

  1. The nutrition and protection of each cell worsens, they begin to die faster. With age, there are often problems with blood supply to the pelvic organs, there is a hormonal imbalance (less and less hormones are produced to maintain health and youth).
  2. The body does not have time to remove dead cells in a timely manner. Dead cells are excreted through the lymphatic vessels, however the available resources of the lymphatic system are no longer enoughto utilize the increased number of dead cells and completely clean the tissue.

In addition, the remains of dead cells (especially their protein components) are the "building material" for tumor growth. One of the reasons for the development of edema is the body’s attempt to prevent the growth of tumor tissue, but thereby the edema leads to urethra clamping (“Resources of the body - immunity, health, longevity.” Vasiliev AE, Kovelenov A.Yu., Ryabchuk F. N., Fedorov V.A., 2004).

Conclusion: an important condition for the successful treatment of adenoma is increased lymph flow (lymphatic drainage), which would clear the tissue from excess dead cells. This simultaneously solves two problems: relieving swelling in the prostate gland, slowing down and stopping tumor growth.

Fireweed

Effectively treated prostate adenoma without surgery, if you regularly use the infusion of fireweed, which is popularly called Ivan tea.

A tea drink is prepared from it, brewing and insisting in a thermos fresh and dried flowers and leaves. It is drunk for a long time at 2 glasses a day. You can add honey to such tea - this will increase its benefit.

Birch buds

Birch buds are rich in biologically active substances that can be useful for the treatment of adenoma.

From them you can make a simple infusion, which is consumed daily for a long time. It is enough to take 1 tbsp. l chopped raw materials in 1 cup of boiling water. Let it brew for 0.5 hours and drink like tea throughout the day.

Nettle

For the prevention of prostate adenoma in men with folk remedies, including when a benign neoplasm is possible, healers have long used nettle preparations.

To prepare a decoction, you need the roots of the plant. 1 tbsp. l crushed fresh or dry raw materials need to pour 300 ml of boiling water and boil for at least 10 minutes. Let stand for 2 hours. Strain and drink 100 ml 3 times a day for 0.5 hours before eating.

The duration of treatment is not less than 60 days, after a short break it is recommended to repeat it.

1. Drug Therapy

Drug treatment consists in taking:

  • Medicines from the group alpha 1-blockers (Retard, Dalphaz, Terazosin, Setegis, Omnik, etc.). Costs are at least 7,200 rubles per year (in 2017 prices).
  • Medicines from the group 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (Alfinal, Finast, etc.). The average annual rate is approximately 8 400 rubles (in 2017 prices).

The failure rate of drug therapy reaches 30%, and the effectiveness, respectively, is 70%.

The mechanism of action of drugs from each group is different: alpha-1-blockers help facilitate urination, and 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors inhibit the growth of the tumor. The course of treatment lasts at least 6 months, usually a year or more, to get a pronounced effect. After some time, the symptoms of the disease may reappear, and then there the need for a second course of treatment: this situation may persist up to the end of the patient’s life.

Individual intolerance to the components that make up the drug is possible. When receiving these funds are possible side effects, which is also associated both with the specifics of the mechanism of action of drugs, and with the characteristics of a particular organism. Medicines, in essence, forcefully change the priorities that the body has, leading to additional stress on the liver, kidneys, circulatory system, digestive system, etc.

As indicated in the Russian clinical guidelines for moderate and severe symptoms of BPH (worsening urination), drugs from both groups are prescribed simultaneously. In this case, the minimum treatment budget for the year may be about 15,600 rubles .

Onion husk

For the treatment of the prostate at home, onion peel is widely used. It is believed that it has a powerful effect and is able to quickly cause a therapeutic effect.

To prepare the infusion, it is necessary to rinse and grind 1 cup of raw materials. It is poured with water at room temperature in an amount of 500 ml, brought to a boil, boiled for about 10 minutes and kept under cover for 1 hour. Filter and add 3 tbsp. l fresh honey.

The tool should be consumed in 0.5 cup 3 times a day for 5-7 days.

The effect can be enhanced by adding hazel leaves to the husk. 200 g of onion peel mixed with 100 g of hazel leaves. Pour in 500 ml of room temperature water, bring to a boil and cook for 8 minutes. The filtered mixture to drink 1 tbsp. l 3 times a day before meals. The duration of treatment is 1 month.

Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds are a source of various vitamins and minerals, it is useful to eat them for a variety of diseases, including for the prevention and treatment of adenoma. It is believed that for the prevention and treatment of the disease, you need to eat at least 100 g of this product in purified form daily.

In addition, to enrich other dishes with vitamins from pumpkin seeds, you can grind them in a blender or coffee grinder and sprinkle salads and side dishes with crumbs.

2. Vibroacoustic therapy (phoning)

This physiotherapeutic treatment no side effects can afford avoid surgery and improve the condition of the patient no medicine.

Phoning (or vibroacoustic therapy) consists in transmitting sound microvibration (frequency range 30 - 20 000 Hz) into the human or animal body using a special compact medical device. Such sound microvibrations are natural for the body: in their physical characteristics are similar to those biological microvibrations that create muscle tissue with maximum static physical stress (V. A. Fedorov, 2004).

For the first time, the effectiveness of the phoning method for the treatment of prostate adenoma was confirmed in 1998 by the State Medical University. I.I. Mechnikov (St. Petersburg). Studies have shown that positive effect of phoning in the treatment of prostate adenoma of the 1st and 2nd degree manifests itself in 95.5% of cases. As you know, with drug therapy, the success of treatment is only 70%. Improvements as a result of phoning were observed regardless of age.

Then military medicine became interested in the therapeutic effect of sound microvibration, and on the basis of the Military Medical Academy named after CM. Kirov in 2004 A study was conducted confirming the high results of phoning in the treatment of prostate adenoma. In this case, a comparison of the effectiveness of phoning and drug therapy was carried out, which showed that the therapeutic effect of phoning exceeds the use of the drug in a number of indicators, while the effect lasts longer after the end of the procedures (within 3-6 months). As recorded in the study - “quality of life improves to a greater extent with vibro-acoustic exposure».

Medical research:

Report on research work "Study of the effectiveness of the vibroacoustic treatment method in the treatment of patients with prostatic hyperplasia." Ph.D. Kuzmin S.G., doctor of medical sciences, professor Petrov SB, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Levkovsky N.S., candidate of medical sciences, assistant professor Kurtov A.I., c. Ph.D., associate professor Levkovsky S.N., Vasilchenko V.V. Military Medical Academy. CM. Kirova, St. Petersburg, 2004

The studies were carried out using medical devices of the Vitafon series. According to their results, it was found that the phoning method:

  • Increases the period between urination,
  • Reduces nighttime urination
  • Enhances the flow of urine (emptying the bladder is twice as fast)
  • Reduces the amount of residual urine in the bladder,
  • Improves health and quality of life.

IPSS Scores Chart

The lower the total score, the higher the overall quality of life (less often and easier urination, etc.)

Graph of changes in the average values of the urinary frequency assessment (symptom 2 of the IPSS scale)

Schedule changes in the frequency of nightly urination

As can be seen from the graph, if at the beginning of the examination, patients had to get up at night 3 times, then after therapy only 1 time or never.

Residual urine reduction graph

Over the past 10 years in the clinic of urology of the Military Medical Academy, more than 2400 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia and sounding is recommended as therapy. None of the patients who had re-addressed returned adverse changes, but there were improvements in the process of urination of varying severity. At the same time, other positive changes were observed: kidney function improved, cystitis passed (cystitis).

Information for doctors:

In 2014, in the specialized journal “Doctor”, the generalized results of many years of clinical practice and research were published - “Microvibrational energy and quality of life”confirming the effectiveness of phoning in the treatment of prostate adenoma, as well as a number of other age-related diseasessuch as diseases of the spine, hypertension, etc.

Walnuts and chestnuts

Walnuts are no less useful for men's health because they contain a large amount of magnesium and zinc.

They can be eaten fresh, at least 100 g daily, can be added to various dishes and pastries.

To obtain a healing effect, it is necessary to chop walnuts and separately peeled pumpkin seeds in a blender. Mix both products and pass through a blender again.

In the resulting mass, you need to add fresh liquid honey and mix the mixture thoroughly.

Take this remedy for 1 tsp. 3 times a day instead of dessert after a meal.

To prepare tinctures, 300 g of immature walnut pericarp add 1 liter of 90 percent alcohol. Close the container tightly, remove to a dark place for 2 weeks. Means to strain and drink 25-30 drops 3-4 times a day. It is recommended to be treated with this remedy for at least 30 days.

The chestnut peel has healing properties. It must be washed and finely chopped. For 600 ml of boiling water, it is enough to take 3 tbsp. l raw materials. The container with it is placed in a water bath and kept until the volume is reduced to 200 ml. The product must be cooled and passed through a filter.

Take 30 drops 3 times a day for 30 days.

It is easy to cook and alcohol tincture from the fruits of chestnut. 25 g of chopped fruit pour 250 ml of medical alcohol and put in a dark place for 1.5 weeks. Periodically, the container must be shaken. At the end of the exposure, strain the mass and drink 10 drops immediately after waking up and before bedtime. Treated for 20 days with a break of 10 days.

How to explain the effect of phoning?

As already mentioned, an important condition for the effective treatment of adenoma is a natural increase in lymphatic flow in the prostate gland, which will allow you to clean the tissues. The lymphatic system that provides lymph flow is no less important for maintaining the body's functioning than the circulatory system. Unlike the circulatory system, the lymphatic system does not have a pump (heart), and the walls of the vessels are not provided with a muscle “layer” that would compress the vessels and push the lymph forward.

The power of the lymph flow depends on the work of muscle tissue located next to the vessels (skeletal muscle or muscle “shell” of other organs). As a result of the alternating contraction of muscle fibers, a wave-like energy of microvibration * arises, which “pushes” lymph through the lymphatic vessels. Muscle tissue creates energy microvibration constantly and regardless of our physical stress, even at rest.

*REFERENCE: The existence of the effect of biological microvibration was discovered in 1986 by academician N.I. Arincin and described in the works "Micropump activity of skeletal muscles during their stretching", "Peripheral" hearts "of man" . And in 2002, physicist Fedorov V.A. Together with a group of doctors, the first measuring device, the myotremograph, was created, which made it possible to measure the microvibration background of a person and experimentally confirm the theory.

In the area of the prostate gland, the lymph flow is provided by microvibration of the muscles of the pelvic floor, bladder and peristalsis (wave-like contraction) of the rectum. Thus, the weakness of the lymphatic flow is largely due to the insufficiency of microvibration (physical work) of the corresponding muscle tissues.

Two main reasons can be distinguished, due to which there is a low power of microvibration in the pelvic floor:

  1. wethe pelvic floor is not sufficiently loaded with physical activity. Maximum microvibration of muscles occurs during physical exertion, therefore sedentary lifestyle contributes to constant lymphatic insufficiency (the development of edema and tumor growth).
  2. Dystrophy (depletion) of muscle tissue develops for the following reasons:
  • With age, the blood supply to the muscles of the pelvic floor, bladder and rectum worsens: a lack of nutrition and oxygen leads to a decrease in the tone of these muscles, both during exertion and at rest. As a result, the lymph flow worsens,
  • When, due to the already existing adenoma, difficulties arise during urination, a man is forced to strain the muscles of the anterior-abdominal wall and pelvic floor with each trip to the toilet, which leads to depletion of muscle tissue resources,

Thus, in order to improve the lymph flow and cleanse the tissues of the prostate gland, sufficient microvibration is necessary.

Phoning in itself is the radiation of sound microvibration, which is similar in its physical characteristics to biological microvibration of muscles. That is, phoning for some time replaces and complements the work of muscle tissue, gives a “clean” microvibration resource and creates the main condition for sufficient lymph flow. Addiction does not occur.

The role of microvibration in the human body is extremely large and is currently underestimated. Muscle tissue makes up 60% of the human body weight: these are skeletal muscles, and the muscular membranes of certain organs (intestines, bladder, etc.), and the muscle walls of blood vessels. The body spends a tremendous amount of energy on the generation of microvibration, since this is the most important condition for life (providing transport and metabolic processes at the cellular level). With age, the body is increasingly experiencing a lack of microvibration. The absence of microvibration indicates the death of a person.

Temporary elimination of the microvibration energy deficit in the pelvic area makes it possible to “rest” muscle tissues, “nourish” them by improving blood supply, and accordingly strengthen their own microvibration. This explains the duration of the effect of phoning.

The phoning technique is designed in such a way that microvibration energy is transmitted pointwise to many areas that can affect the removal of edema and improve the functioning of organs. Very often in old age there are problems in the lumbosacral spine (edema, hernia, osteochondrosis), and accordingly the transmission of control nerve impulses from the spinal cord to the muscles and organs of the small pelvis worsens, their work is less well regulated. In this regard, the technique includes phoning of the lumbosacral region.

The final comparative table of drug therapy and phoning:

  • Relieves swelling
  • Improves blood supply to the pelvic organs (prostate and bladder)
  • Relieves swelling
  • Improves blood supply to the pelvic organs
  • Enhances lymphatic drainage
  • Improves kidney function
  • Restores its own function of microvibration of muscle tissue

Possible side effects and individual drug intolerance

There may be a deterioration in medication

The quality of life is steadily improving from procedure to procedure

When taking 1 type of medicine - at least 7,200 rubles, when taking 2 types of medicine - about 15 600 rubles with the constant purchase of drugs throughout the year.

A one-time purchase of the simplest model costing approximately 5 790 rubles . The declared service life of the device is 5 years, and in practice - more than 10-15 years.

The main course takes 6 months, usually 1 year, then often there is a need for repeated courses until the end of the patient's life.

The course lasts 3 months, then repeat the prophylaxis twice a year.

Use for the treatment of other diseases

Some drugs can treat hypertension at the same time.

Many diseases can be treated, including hypertension, prostatitis, cystitis, impotence, constipation, urinary incontinence, kidney disease, etc.

Phoning can also be used in combination with drug therapy. Sound microvibration improves transport and metabolic processes in the tissues, and, thereby, helps to deliver the drug to the right place, that is, increases the effectiveness of drug therapy.

However, according to many years of observation, applications are only “Vitafon” apparatus is usually enough to significantly improve the quality of life and relieve swelling.

When can’t you do without an operation?

When conservative treatment (phoning or drug therapy) does not help, surgical intervention remains if the general health of the patient allows the operation. Surgical treatment is sometimes impossible in elderly people due to the presence of severe concomitant diseases, repeated myocardial infarction, heart failure, strokes, etc. In this case, as indicated in the manual for doctors, vibroacoustic therapy is indicated. This type of physiotherapy, in any case, will create conditions so that the urination process does not deteriorate further.

The operation is shown in the following cases:

  • Prostate adenoma in 3 stages, when the patient is unable to urinate on his own due to atony (weakened and stretched muscles of the bladder).
  • Patients with a pronounced decrease in the quality of life (regardless of the size of the tumor), evaluated on the IPSS scale - 20–35 points.
  • Patients in whom the first manifestation of the disease was acute urinary retention in 60% of cases forced to undergo surgery within a year after the detection of BPH.

At the moment, preference is given to this type of operation as transurethral resection (TUR), when a resectoscope is inserted through the urethra and a tumor is removed without a bladder incision. Another type of surgery without a bladder incision is laser vaporizationwhen a special device is inserted into the urethra and the laser “evaporates” the tumor in layers. Both with TUR and laser vaporization, there is a risk that some part of the tumor will not be removed: in this case, a relapse is possible and then a second operation can be prescribed.

With a large tumor size, adenectomy (abdominal surgery), when an incision is made on the anterior abdominal wall (or access is through the perineum), the bladder opens and the tumor is removed.

Despite the fact that the tumor itself is removed during the operation, the quality of life of the patient may remain unsatisfactory. Often saved frequent urination, incontinence, the presence of residual urine (according to statistics in 10% of patients), and complications and consequences may also occur:

  • bleeding,
  • infection attachment
  • the impossibility of self-urination and lifelong use of the catheter,
  • retrograde ejaculation (semen is thrown into the bladder during intercourse)
  • impotence,
  • bladder neck sclerosis,
  • narrowing of the lumen of the urethra (stricture).

To speed up the healing process, to reduce the risk of complications after surgery, it is recommended to perform phoning both at the stage of preparation for the operation and at the rehabilitation stage. As studies at the Military Medical Academy have shown, the use of phoning with the Vitafon device after TUR allows reduce the frequency of urination, completely get rid of residual urine, reduce the size of the prostate gland by removing postoperative edema. Phoning was originally used in traumatology and the treatment of postoperative sutures and has shown its high efficiency in accelerating healing.

The sounding in this case is carried out according to the treatment regimen for BPH. A catheter is not an obstacle to conducting phoning.

Thus, the operation must be carried out strictly according to the doctor’s testimony. If there is no clear indication for surgery, has the meaningresort toto the abovegentle treatment. It is recommended to perform phoning both before and after the operation - this helps to improve urination and avoid complications.

Medical phoning apparatus

In Roszdravnadzor several models for phoning are registered (in combination and without infrared radiation). All of them are issued under the Vitafon trademark.

To date, these are the only devices in the world that allow the transfer of microvibration energy into the human body, similar to biological microvibrations. For more than 25 years of use, more than 2 million people have not registered a single case of adverse side effects.

On the contrary, the expansion of the list of diseases that can be successfully treated with the help of "Vitafon" devices occurred precisely due to the identification of side effects. positive effects:

Studies have proven the improvement of the whole body, including the immune system, which allowed to treat:

  • viral diseases, starting with acute respiratory viral infections and ending with hepatitis,
  • a variety of inflammatory diseases: respiratory organs, joints, genitourinary system (prostatitis), digestive system, etc.,
  • degenerative and dystrophic diseases, for example, osteochondrosis and herniated discs,
  • cardiovascular disease, hypertension,
  • and many others.

A complete list of indications for the use of Vitafon devices can be found here.

The effectiveness of the treatment of these diseases is confirmed by scientific medical research, which for more than 25 years there are already over 100.

In addition to research, there is medical practice, which also confirms the high efficiency of the new method of physiotherapy, as evidenced by the reviews of leading doctors.

At the same time, there are contraindications, their list is not large, but it is necessary to familiarize themselves with them.

It is likely that your attending physician may not be aware of this new modern treatment method (phoning) and the corresponding devices, so before you go to the reception, we offer to print a leaflet with information on contraindications, methods of treating prostate adenoma (BPH), the use of medications.

Can I get rid of adenoma without surgery?

Surgery is only necessary at the last stage of prostatic hyperplasia.

All men who have encountered this disease must ask the doctor a question about whether it is possible to cure the adenic gland without surgery. Few people like the honest answer: it is impossible to cure an adenoma with medications, but it is quite possible to reduce its size and slow down the rate of disease progression. However, there is one very important clarification - the effectiveness of therapy depends on the degree of the disease.

Adenoma of the 1st and 2nd degree is quite successfully treated with medications. Conservative therapy allows you to:

  • solve the problem of dysuria,
  • stop the growth of the tumor,
  • reduce an already existing tumor,
  • restore sexual function,
  • prevent the development of complications.

Grade 3 adenoma is not treated with medication. Firstly, they are simply ineffective, as the size of the tumor is too large. Secondly, there are many concomitant changes in the organs - thinning of the bladder wall and decreased organ tone, narrowing of the urethra, high pressure in the kidneys, and impaired contractility of the prostate gland. The result is multiple complications, including renal failure.

Drug treatment

A conservative treatment approach is especially effective in the early stages of the disease. Properly selected complex therapy can stop the progression of the disease and normalize the functions of the genitourinary system.

The treatment regimen should be selected by a urologist after a series of examinations. The purpose of the drugs depends on the specifics of the symptoms and the degree of the disease.

A feature of the treatment of adenoma is the need for long-term administration of drugs. Some drugs have to be taken for years.

Means that affect the hormonal background

Dosage: no more than one tablet per day

Drugs in this group will help both reduce prostate adenoma without surgery, and stop the rate of its progression. These are not hormonal drugs, but anticancer drugs created specifically for the treatment of adenomas in men. The second name of the group is 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors. The action of drugs of this group is aimed at blocking the mechanism of conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone, under the influence of which hyperplasia increases and hair follicles are destroyed, therefore such drugs are also often used in the fight against androgenetic alopecia in men.

These medicines include:

All drugs are presented in tablets or capsules. You need to take them once a day, but for a long time, in some cases, lifelong administration of tablets is indicated.

The main problem is severe side effects. Discontinuation of dihydrotestosterone synthesis negatively affects male sexual health. Against the background of taking medication, gynecomastia (female breast enlargement), impotence, ejaculation disturbance may occur. The first sign of the action of these drugs is a decrease in libido.

Despite the large number of side effects, 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors are the only drugs with proven effectiveness that can reduce the rate of tumor progression and cure prostate adenoma without surgery.

Drugs to normalize urination

Improves urination from the body

The most acute symptom of adenoma is dysuric disorders. To eliminate them, drugs of the alpha adrenoblocker group are indicated. These drugs normalize the tone of the bladder, promote easy urination, and prevent stagnation of urine, thereby reducing the negative effects on the kidneys.

The most popular drugs from this group are Omnik and Tamsulosin. These drugs are taken daily in a single capsule for a long period. Portability is relatively good, but side effects can not be avoided. Medicines in this group reduce blood pressure, so dizziness, weakness, and headache occur. Among the side effects, retrograde ejaculation is also indicated - not a dangerous, but rather unpleasant phenomenon, in which ejaculation occurs in the bladder.

Herbal preparations

Having figured out how to cure prostate adenoma without surgery using effective drugs, you should pay attention to alternative methods. Herbal remedies for adenoma in the prostate gland are in great demand, but they cannot delay treatment with surgery, therefore, they are used as an adjuvant. Such medications facilitate urination and reduce swelling of the prostate. Preparations with sabal extract can theoretically suppress the synthesis of dihydrotestosterone, but in practice a moderate effect on prostate growth has been proved, which is not enough to completely cure.

It is possible to supplement therapy with the preparations Prostamol Uno, Gentos, Sabal Prostate (BAA), Solgar Prostate Plus (BAA). Homeopathy is also widely used, for example, Afala tablets.

Before choosing such drugs, you should consult your doctor. The advantage of herbal medicines is good tolerance and the absence of side effects. The main disadvantage is the unproven therapeutic effect.

Folk remedies

Traditional medicine adherents claim to know how to get rid of prostate adenoma without surgery. However, such methods have not been proven and are being questioned by doctors and all official medicine.

For the treatment of adenomas apply:

  • infusion and decoction of aspen bark,
  • a decoction of horsetail with nettle,
  • celery juice with honey,
  • meadowsweet with propolis,
  • soda solution.

All these methods are rather doubtful. Those who want to try herbal medicine, it is recommended to pay attention to the complex urological fees presented in any pharmacy. They have the same diuretic effect, but they are prepared very simply, as they are packaged in bags and brewed like tea. In this case, you don’t have to cook anything, languish in a water bath, and after hours insist.

Physiotherapy

The medical device can be purchased on the Internet, on the manufacturer’s website or in a pharmacy

Consult a physician about how to treat adenomas without surgery. One of the effective adjuvants is physiotherapy. Full disposal of prostate adenoma without surgery is not worth the wait, but physiotherapy will help improve the work of the body.

For this, various devices are used that act on the organ with a constant or alternating magnetic field.Of home appliances, the Almag-01 device is very popular.

Having figured out whether it is possible to cure prostate adenoma without surgery, we can draw the following conclusions:

  • the most effective agents are 5-alpha reductase inhibitors,
  • alpha adrenergic blockers do not cure an adenoma, but you cannot do without them,
  • the effectiveness of herbal remedies has not been proven, folk remedies for adenoma will not save,
  • Physiotherapy will be an effective complement to treatment, but it can not relieve adenoma.

Thus, the answer to the question of whether an adenoma is treated without surgery is obvious. True, conservative methods are indeed able to restrain tumor growth and delay the need for surgery. Sometimes taking pills allows you to win ten or more years, but here you need to think carefully - it may be better to have surgery at a young age and in the initial stages of the adenoma, than to wait until the man is old. In addition to the fact that in the elderly, any intervention is more difficult to tolerate, it should be remembered that a contraindication for transurethral resection of the adenoma is age over 65 years.

Adenoma treatment without surgery

Prostate hyperplasia is a benign formation that is not uncommon for men over the age of 40. The adenoma begins to work in the middle of the organ, causing the growth of tissues, as a result of which the prostate is much larger in size. At first, the disease manifests itself as a delay in urination, the organ increases, if felt, excessive density can be noted. Palpation in this condition is painless.

When the disease proceeds to the next phase, the urethra function begins to be seriously impaired. The bladder cannot empty completely - a little urine is constantly stored in it. The kidneys experience serious difficulties. For the third phase, renal failure is characteristic, the tissues of the prostate gland noticeably grow.

The first two phases of a disease such as prostate adenoma, treatment without surgery is quite acceptable. To combat the disease, medications recommended by a doctor and physiotherapy courses are used. With careful observance of the treatment rules prescribed by the andrologist, it is often possible to achieve great success in treatment, as well as return the prostate gland to its normal state.

Adult men need to carefully monitor changes in their own state of health. This may be a violation of potency, problems with urination, severe pain may appear in the lumbar region.

Doctors can decide on the need for surgery with insufficient effectiveness of long-term therapy, which is carried out using special medicines. The causes are difficulties with urination, as well as a variety of complications.

Reasons for benign education may be age of the patient, stagnation of secretion in the tissues of the prostate gland, hormone balance problems. To eliminate such conditions, it is better to use complex treatment. Methods affect the cause of the disease. When combined treatment is used medications combined with physiotherapyspecial dietcan be applied home techniques.

To get rid of prostate adenoma without surgery, first of all, the patient himself must work hard. A favorable outcome is largely facilitated by the desire to cope with the disease, as well as careful adherence to the recommendations of doctors, regular use of necessary procedures.

Etiology of the disease

With age, testosterone production decreases, while the level of female sex hormone (estrogen) increases dramatically.Such changes in the body directly affect the prostate gland: its tissues begin to grow, trying to cope with the increased hormonal load.

Usually the pathological process lasts several years, during which the person does not even suspect about his illness. External manifestations develop gradually and depend on the stage of adenoma.

Symptoms of stage I

The duration of this stage varies widely - from a year to 12 years. An enlarged prostate compresses the ureter, as a result of which the patient can observe the following signs of the disease:

  • a slight increase in urination (especially at night),
  • difficulty urinating, weak stream,
  • uncontrolled urge to the toilet.

At this stage, treatment of prostate adenoma without surgery is indicated in almost 80% of cases.

Symptoms of stage II

The development of the disease leads to impaired functioning of the bladder. External signs become more pronounced:

  • the appearance of residual urine after emptying,
  • constant urination
  • discoloration and consistency of urine (dark, viscous, sometimes with blood impurities),
  • burning sensation, pain in the lower abdomen and lower back during urination,
  • progressive decrease in urine pressure,
  • reduction in the duration of sexual intercourse, premature ejaculation, decrease or absence of libido,
  • dryness, bitterness in the mouth, thirst (symptom of renal dysfunction).

A frequent question for patients with the second stage of the disease: how to treat prostate adenoma at this stage simply and quickly? The unequivocal answer of experts - no way! Therapy can take several months, in some cases the patient requires hospitalization, less often surgical intervention.

Symptoms of Stage III

The third stage of prostate adenoma is very dangerous, because the urinary system is completely disrupted. An advanced disease is characterized by the following symptoms:

  1. lack of urge to urinate,
  2. a feeling of not completely empty the bladder,
  3. dropping urine, its stagnation,
  4. acute incontinence
  5. severe pain in the suprapubic area,
  6. uremic breath
  7. weakness, fatigue, apathy,
  8. dry mucous membranes (indicates dehydration).

The disease at this stage is treated only in a hospital setting. If the patient is not provided with urgent medical care, the risk of developing serious complications is great (up to death).

Important! Timely methods of diagnosis and treatment of the first and partly second stage of the disease can reduce prostate adenoma without surgery. The decision on the use of certain therapeutic measures is made by the doctor after the examination.

Drug therapy

Not everyone knows if prostate adenoma can be cured without surgery. To help in recovery, drugs have been developed that act in such a way that with their regular intake, the symptoms of the disease decrease, the tumor freezes in development, and the work of the bladder improves. When it is emptied when exposed to drugs, the problems become much less.

Medications for getting rid of prostatitis work differently. They are further divided into categories as follows:

  1. Alpha blockers. Drugs in this group are able to act on different types of receptors. They have a relaxing effect on smooth muscles, affecting the urinary tract and prostate. They can become an excellent diuretic.
  2. Inhibitors of enzymes that take an active part in the conversion of steroids. Their purpose is to create a barrier to the formation of testosterone, which is biologically active, which can provoke the growth of organ tissues. The intake of such drugs needs constant monitoring by a specialist.
  3. Medicines in which the action helps reduce side effects from the consumption of drugs of the previous groups, reduces adverse symptoms. They significantly reduce the activity of bacteria, enhance erectile function.

Medicines with anti-inflammatory action work to reduce inflammatory processes in the pelvic organs, reduce pain, smooth out fever, and provide good antipyretic. Painkillers have antispasmodic properties that work to improve health.

Drug therapy

Its main goals are to normalize urination and prevent the growth of prostate tissue. For this, 2 main groups of medicines are used.

  1. Alpha-1-blockers (Doxazosin, Tamsulosin, Terazosin, Alfuzosin). These drugs relax the muscles of the prostate and reduce pressure on the urethra, allowing urine to freely pass through it.
  2. Inhibitors (blockers) of 5-AP - an enzyme that promotes the growth of tumor cells. Medicines from this group (Finasteride, Dutasteride) are the only medicines that can reduce the size of the gland and get rid of prostate adenoma non-surgical way.

To eliminate other factors in the growth of a benign tumor, as well as for preventive purposes, drugs based on plant extracts are recommended: African plum root (Pygeum africanum), creeping palm tree (Serenoa Repens), pumpkin seed (Cucurbitae semen), etc. If prostate adenoma is accompanied by infection, additionally prescribed a course of antibiotics.

Important! Any medications can be taken only if they are prescribed by your doctor.

Needle type transurethral ablation

To influence the affected organ, thin needles are used. When they are introduced to the problematic part of the body, radio pulses of a certain frequency are fed, preventing a change in the body in volume, a decrease in tension in the tissues. With this method of exposure, it is possible to obtain an excellent therapeutic effect.

Nonspecific methods

The most common of them are laser and electromagnetic therapy, as well as the effect on the gland with the help of electric currents. These procedures contribute to:

  • increase the permeability of drugs in prostate tissue,
  • stimulation of the body’s defenses
  • increase blood circulation,
  • improving the functioning of the nervous system,
  • restoration of potency,
  • reduction of pain.

Cryotherapy

When cryotherapy provides freezing of some sections of the prostate gland. This method uses liquid nitrogen, which acts directly on the affected areas. In healthy tissues located near inflamed areas, temperature control is carried out using a special sensor device.

Transurethral exposure options are classified as minimally invasive, since they include penetration into the body. In addition to the listed methods, mud treatment and spa therapy, prostate massage and exercise therapy procedures can be used to treat adenomas.

Specific methods

They directly affect the prostate adenoma, eliminating the clinical symptoms of the disease and inhibiting its further development. We single out the most effective procedures.

  • Cryotherapy - local tumor freezing with liquid nitrogen. Low temperatures destroy pathological cells, while surrounding healthy tissue does not suffer.
  • Transurethral microwave thermotherapy is the heating of the prostate through a special generator that is inserted into the urethra: waves of high intensity cause necrosis of tumor cells, thereby reducing the size of the prostate.
  • Thermoablation is the destruction of adenomatous tissues using high temperatures (from 70 ° C and above).
  • Transurethral needle ablation stops growth and reduces the volume of the prostate gland due to exposure to radio frequency pulses.

Mud applications, bathtubs, special exercise complexes, etc. also contribute to accelerated recovery.

Physiotherapy

It is necessary to treat an adenoma with the help of physical education procedures in compliance with certain rules. With prostatic hyperplasia, inactivity is very harmful. But you should not immediately give yourself increased sports loads if this disease is detected. With adenoma, some sports can significantly harm. On the contrary, with moderate load on the lower back and back of the thighs, it is possible to significantly improve blood circulation and provide good support to the muscles of the body.

If the patient has a malfunctioning of the genitourinary system, one should turn to exercises that are carried out according to specially prepared methods:

  • Kegel exercises - during their implementation provides training for the muscles of the pelvic floor, urination and potency improves,
  • Bubnovsky technique It is a set of procedures for strengthening the muscles around the spine. Regular exercise reduces pain, helps in improving the genital area,
  • Exercise therapy includes exercises in which a slow, soft stretching of muscles and ligaments is provided. This helps to improve the functioning of internal organs, reduces stagnation of secretions in the prostate, and additional blood flow is provided to the tissues of the prostate.

If you have questions about whether prostate adenoma is treated without surgery, they should be asked by your doctor. Depending on the patient’s state of health, the specialist will be able to advise a technique that should help in the treatment.

With an integrated approach to treatment and work on the body from the very beginning of the disease, it is possible to quickly restore the state of health and improve the quality of life.

Exercise complex

Kegel gymnastics for the pelvic floor muscles helps to eliminate stagnant processes in organs, normalizes blood circulation, metabolism, hormonal levels, and increases physical resistance to the manifestations of the disease.

You can perform the exercises at home, replacing the usual morning complex or conduct classes in the hall, distracting from everyday work. To maintain men's health, it is useful to walk, climb stairs, squat, and pay attention to training the abdominal muscles.

As a result of physical activity, the sensitivity of the tissues of the prostate gland to medications improves, the production and assimilation of testosterone is carried out without excessive formation of the active fraction.

After classes, the man feels more energetic, and in the treatment of adenoma, the psychological attitude is an important part of therapy.

Other methods

The use of advanced technologies and new methods of treatment helps to permanently get rid of prostate adenoma problems:

  • Arterial embolization. In urological practice, the application of the technique is based on blocking the vessels that feed the prostate, which leads to the cessation of the growth of hyperplasia and allows you to quickly achieve a decrease in organ volume.
  • Cryotherapy. Exposure to tissues at extremely low temperatures with the introduction of liquid nitrogen destroys them. Endoscopic surgery is indicated for a small diameter tumor of the prostate gland.
  • Microwave. The physical effect of microwave radiation on the adenoma is due to the deep heating of hyperplastic tissues, which causes their destruction at the cellular level. The treatment is carried out using computer technology, the program sets the mode and duration of the procedure, the organs located next to it are protected by a blocking screen.
  • Laser excision. Laser surgical removal of prostate adenoma has several advantages. The operation takes place completely bloodless, damaged vessels are immediately burned with a beam. Instead of cutting out the tumor tissue, the evaporation method is used, the depth of which is determined by the doctor by visual inspection on the monitor. The risk of early postoperative complications, which include bleeding and infection, is reduced.
  • Installation of stents or cylinders. A skeleton design is introduced into the urethra lumen, which can withstand the pressure of prostate tissue hyperplastic adenoma. The balloon dilatation method works in a similar way when a balloon expanding the lumen is installed in a bottleneck of the urethra.

Modern treatment is available in a number of large centers for a fee.

Prostate Adenoma Prevention

It is difficult to cure an adenoma even with the modern level of development of medical technologies and the achievements of pharmacological production. A benign tumor develops with age in all men, but it is possible to slow down changes in the tissues of the prostate gland, reducing the risk of early formation of hyperplastic growth and the negative consequences of the disease.

In order to prevent prostate adenoma with urologists, an effective set of measures has been developed, a significant proportion of attention is paid to a man’s lifestyle:

  • An annual doctor's visit and diagnostic procedures help to detect the initial changes in the prostate gland and prescribe the necessary treatment. The first signs of an erectile dysfunction or a change in the nature of urination should be an occasion to contact a urologist. Timely treatment of diseases of the urinary system reduces the risk of chronic pathology, which is considered one of the provoking factors in the development of adenoma.
  • Rejection of bad habits. Changes in the tissues of the prostate gland are closely associated with the formation of chemical compounds, and are also provoked by damage to the genetic structure of cells. Nicotine and heavy metals contained in cigarette tar and tobacco smoke provoke a failure in the reproduction of prostate tissues, and the risk of not only the development of adenoma, but also cancer. Analogues of female estrogens in industrial beer contribute to a change in cellular activity, provoking excessive growth with an increase in the volume of the prostate gland.
  • Maintaining sexual activity. Congestive processes and hormonal failure are risk factors for the formation of benign hyperplasia in men. Regular sex life allows you to maintain the endocrine system, and also helps to free the prostate ducts from specific enzymes and secretion products.
  • Normalization of nutrition. A diet balanced in terms of the main nutrient components, enriched with coarse fiber, vitamins and microelements, helps to establish metabolic processes, stimulates the regular renewal of cellular structures, supports the work of vital organs and functions of the human body. Nutritional recommendations are always the primary therapeutic measure in medical practice, since they help to restore disturbed vital functions in a natural way.
  • Physical activity. The work of muscles starts metabolic activation processes and stimulates the production of testosterone, as well as normalizes the process of its processing in the tissues of the prostate gland, reducing the risk of early development of adenoma. Strengthening the muscles of the pelvic floor with special exercises and maintaining active blood circulation in the lower body helps improve prostate nutrition, preventing stagnation in organs.
  • Taking medications as prescribed by a doctor. Some groups of drugs increase the risk of hyperplastic changes in the tissues of the prostate gland.Of particular danger are steroid hormones that provoke hormonal failure and disrupt the normal cycle of testosterone activation by prostate enzymes.

Preventive measures are the most affordable and effective way to prevent diseases of the male genitourinary system. Men at risk should pay special attention to their own health - with burdensome heredity, sedentary work, diseases of the endocrine, urinary and cardiovascular systems. Prevention, early diagnosis, treatment started in a timely manner - subject to such tactics, the prognosis for a favorable outcome increases.

Prostate adenoma: methods and methods of treatment without surgery

Most diseases of the genitourinary system, such as prostate adenoma, can be cured without surgery if they are not started.

There are many modern methods of treating prostate adenoma without surgery. Usually, several types of therapy are used to get rid of BPH.

Is it possible to cure prostate adenoma? Read the article.

BPH: what is it?

BPH is benign prostatic hyperplasia, in other words, a seal or neoplasm on the walls of the prostate of a non-cancerous nature.

Previously, this pathology was called prostate adenoma.

Hyperplasia itself does not carry a danger, however, the dimensions of the prostate several times larger interfere with normal urination - the prostate begins to put pressure on the urethra.

REFERENCE! Sometimes hyperplasia develops from the side of the rectum, then problems are expected with bowel movements, sometimes the development goes on both sides.

BPH, depending on the development, distinguishes three stages, 2 of which can be treated without resorting to surgical methods.

Causes

  • The adenoma is formed as a result of hormonal changes associated with the aging of a man - the level of testosterone rises, it goes into a new form, begins to act actively, tightening the tissue of the prostate.
  • Hormonal changes can begin in men with endocrine diseases.
  • Symptoms at the initial stage of BPH:
  • a feeling of fullness of the bladder,
  • increased urination,
  • delayed onset of urination.

It is added to them at the 2nd stage of the disease:

  • incomplete emptying of the bladder,
  • urinary incontinence.

Symptoms at the 3rd stage:

  • renal failure
  • acute urinary retention - a large amount of urine in the bladder,
  • the presence of blood in the urine,
  • nausea, thirst.

Risk zone

BPH cannot be prevented, but life can be significantly facilitated by identifying its early manifestations.

To do this, you need to know about risk factors:

  • age from 50 years
  • endocrine system diseases,
  • hypertension,
  • hypothermia, overheating,
  • prolonged non-emptying of the bladder,
  • excess weight,
  • drinking alcohol, smoking.

Whether prostate adenoma is treated without surgery, read below.

Usually, doctors combine all available methods suitable for the patient to treat the first stages of BPH:

Doctors also advise to abandon bad habits, follow a diet based on proper nutrition and lead an active lifestyle.

IMPORTANT! At the 3rd stage of BPH, when acute urinary retention, renal failure is possible, there is a risk of death, surgery is indispensable.

How to get rid of prostate adenoma without surgery, read below.

Massage

  1. It is a stroking (vibration massagers are possible) along the sacrum along the oblique muscles of the abdomen, passing to the hips and buttocks, perineum.
  2. Only a specialist should conduct a massage!
  3. Rectal massage of the prostate is not recommended, such a massage implies a rush of blood to the prostate, which on the contrary can aggravate the situation, activating an even greater growth of adenoma.

There are many complexes of conservative treatment of prostate adenoma, which help strengthen the circulation of the pelvis, preventing stagnation of secretion and blood in the prostate. For example physiotherapy exercises.

Usually this:

  • "Bicycle" - lying on your back to depict riding a bicycle,
  • “Scissors” - lying on their backs to bring down and spread apart the legs bent at the knees,
  • Abdominal oblique muscle press - lifting legs from a lying position obliquely,
  • note a good effect in the treatment of adenomas from simple push-ups.

An active lifestyle will prolong the health of the prostate gland, however, it is not worthwhile to heavily load the body, power loads are contraindicated. It is best to do exercises daily in the morning and evening.

Expansion of the urethra

Balloon dilatation is the expansion of the urethra by introducing a catheter with a special balloon into the urethra, which is gradually filled, ensuring a normal outflow of urine. It is used at the 2nd and 3rd stages of BPH.

The first signs of an erectile dysfunction or a change in the nature of urination should be an occasion to contact a urologist.Timely treatment of diseases of the urinary system reduces the risk of chronic pathology, which is considered one of the provoking factors in the development of adenoma.
Some groups of drugs increase the risk of hyperplastic changes in the tissues of the prostate gland. Of particular danger are steroid hormones that provoke hormonal failure and disrupt the normal cycle of testosterone activation by prostate enzymes.

How to treat prostate adenoma without surgery?

Drug treatment of prostate adenoma without surgery

BPH implies problems with urination, at the 1st stage of the disease the symptoms are not pronounced (frequent urge to urinate, some delay), but it is worthwhile to see a doctor, complications are likely in the form of the next, more dangerous stage of adenoma development.

Is prostate adenoma treated in stage 2 without surgery? Stage 2 BPH can be treated without surgery, but it is much more difficult to do this.

The fact is that indications for the appointment of conservative treatment of prostate adenoma are the presence of minimal urination disorders, the absence of complications in the prostate and involvement of the ureters in the pathological process.

How to treat prostate adenoma in the 2nd stage?

Drugs for the treatment of prostate adenoma without surgery:

  1. Doctors usually prescribe primarily drugs that facilitate the excretion of urine, alpha - blockers - relax the muscles of the prostate gland and bladder. It is necessary to take such drugs as directed by a doctor.
  2. Next comes effect directly on the adenoma, inhibitors are used to stop the growth of the neoplasm and reduce it. The doctor will select the appropriate medications based on the tests, they must be taken for at least 3 months to achieve results, in some cases, the extension of such therapy is possible.
  3. Use herbal preparations, or products containing substances derived from cattle prostate. Such drugs are regenerative in nature, they contain all trace elements useful for the prostate gland.
  4. Best of all in such cases. rectal suppositories that act directly on the prostate glandwithout affecting the intestinal microflora, as is the case with tablets.

Massage

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is most often used at the 2nd and 3rd stages of the development of the disease.

On the tissue of adenoma are:

  1. Radio waves.
  2. Waves of a magnetic field.
  3. Electricity.

Under their influence, the adenoma decreases, its cells die, cease to divide. In addition, apply electrophoresis - medicines under the influence of electric current are better absorbed by the body.

Thermal ablation - exposure to heat, also has a detrimental effect on BPH. However, it is worth remembering that ordinary heating is contraindicated. An alternative to thermal ablation is cryotherapy, exposure to low temperatures.

Use acupuncture to stop the development of adenoma.

Also apply therapeutic mud baths and rectal mud solutions.

Ethnoscience

Recipes collected over several centuries are sometimes effective in the treatment of adenoma, usually are preventive in nature.

Herbs, roots (aspen bark), oils (castor), soda, bee subpestile have beneficial effects on the prostate gland. Decoctions for baths and infusions of chamomile, celandine well help restore the prostate. Eating pumpkin and onions will help prevent prostate diseases.

Conclusion

Can prostate adenoma be cured without surgery? No one is safe from prostate diseases. Prostate adenoma in the initial stages can be treated or significantly facilitate the life of a man without surgery. The only condition is to apply all the techniques after consulting a doctor. When is it possible to cure prostate adenoma without surgery?

Hyperplasia of the prostate gland or adenoma is a pathology of a benign type. The pathogenesis of the disease is based on a rapid increase in the size of the gland due to excessive cell division. It is possible to stop this process and avoid surgery for prostate adenoma thanks to modern medicines and assistive techniques.

Conditions and treatment options without surgery

The age-related complications of hormone metabolism affect the functioning of many organs, not excluding the prostate in men. Testosterone and estrogens, which are formed in a minimal amount, provide homeostasis, the functioning of the prostate gland, fertility, sexual functions and the functioning of the pelvic organs.

In men over forty-five years of age, testosterone metabolism gradually changes, estrogen production increases, which leads to an increase in the parameters of the prostate gland and this process is inevitable.Depending on where the organ begins to grow, the rate of onset of symptoms will vary.

Men who have reached the 40-45 year old milestone should be aware of the main manifestations of the onset of prostate adenoma:

  • urination at night,
  • increased daytime and nighttime urination,
  • the need for pressure of the press to remove urine
  • intermittent stream
  • difficulties with potency,
  • periodic or persistent pain in the back, anus, groin,
  • the appearance of blood in the urine,
  • psycho-emotional disorders.

For home testing for the detection of pathognomonic symptoms of prostate adenoma, it is necessary to use the IPSS test common on the Web. Depending on the number of points scored, one can judge the presence of pathological changes in the prostate.

Important!

The early start of drug treatment for prostate adenoma will avoid surgery.

In order to recognize the pathology on time and apply non-surgical tactics, you should annually take a blood test for PSA (prostate-specific antigen) and perform a transrectal ultrasound.

Laboratory and instrumental diagnostics are used for early detection of hyperplastic changes in the prostate in men, since adenoma appears only at 2 stages, when medications and other non-surgical interventions are ineffective.

Men, due to their character traits and superficial attitude to health, do not notice changes in the work of the prostate that occur after 45-50 years.

In addition, the reluctance to recognize the fact of aging, decreased sexual ability, and suspicious changes in urination and potency also contribute to the progression of prostatic hyperplasia.

Self-deception and unwillingness to recognize the problems present trigger a vicious cycle that contributes to the aggravation of prostate pathology.

Often men, in order to avoid a visit to the doctor and eliminate the symptoms that disturb them, begin to independently take medications that improve potency, folk remedies and home methods for treating prostate adenoma. As a result, the operation becomes the only way out of this situation.

Prostate adenoma will be indicated by a PSA level in the range from 4 to 16 ng / ml and characteristic changes in ultrasound. An annual examination will reveal the pathology in a timely manner and treat prostate adenoma without surgery.

It should be borne in mind that in sexually active men, prostate adenoma often proceeds in combination with chronic prostatitis. Chronic pelvic pain, persistent aggravation of impotence, fever, discharge from the urethra, prostatorea will join the symptoms characteristic of hyperplasia.

Provided that the drug treatment begins, which began at the first stage, you can get rid of prostate adenoma without surgery. Special medicines, as well as adherence to a certain lifestyle, can stop prostatic hyperplasia.

Methods of non-surgical treatment

  • long-term prem oral medication
  • the use of herbal natural remedies,
  • the use of rectal suppositories,
  • physiotherapy.

All methods aimed at minimizing the risk of surgical intervention can be combined with each other to enhance the effect.

Phytotherapy

chestnut fruits

Many men are interested in how to cure prostate adenoma without surgery using herbal remedies? It is widely known that plant components do not have a wide range of side effects, can be used for a long time and combined with other drugs.

Treatment without surgery of the tumor pathology of the prostate gland with the help of herbal remedies is possible only in the early stages.

In addition, compliance with the principles of good nutrition aimed at weight loss is required. Fat cells are a source of estrogen, which contributes to the progression of prostate adenoma.

It is also necessary to exclude the consumption of excess beer due to the phytoestrogens it contains.

In addition to taking herbal remedies, weight loss, the exclusion of physical inactivity is recommended. Normalization of blood flow in the pelvis plays an important role in slowing down the process of hyperplasia.

The relevant question is whether or not adenoma of the prostate can be cured. It is impossible to completely suppress prostatic hyperplasia, however, it is possible to stabilize the division and reduce the size of the tumor without surgery. Minor growths of the gland do not bring danger and do not entail consequences.

Criteria for choosing herbal remedies:

  • minimum sizes of adenoma,
  • minor symptoms
  • the desire of a man to maintain full potency.

The largest number of studies was performed in the area of influence of Serenoa repens (Creeping Palm) on the reduction of prostate adenoma size.

Herbal natural preparations of the creeping palm are available in the form of funds:

  • Permixon
  • Kapistan
  • Serpens
  • Prostaplant,
  • Simple gray
  • Prostamol Uno,
  • Strogen-S.

In addition to a creeping palm, plants such as African plum, pumpkin seeds, dioecious nettle and others will help to avoid surgery for prostate adenoma.

5 alpha reductase inhibitors

Means from the order of inhibitors of the enzyme 5 alpha reductase affect the main link in the development of BPH or prostate adenoma. Thanks to the enzyme 5 alpha reductase, testosterone is transformed into a special metabolite, which leads to the rapid multiplication of cells.

Important!

Thanks to drugs belonging to the group of 5 alpha-reductase inhibitors, prostate adenoma is treated without surgery in the initial stages, as it reduces the size of the tumor.

Drugs from this group suppress the obstructive clinic of prostate adenoma and avoid surgery with the timely start of their administration.

Active components are dutasteride, finasteride.

  • pronounced clinic of the disease,
  • dominance of an obstructive clinic,
  • the volume of the enlarged gland is more than 55cm³.

  • lack of hormonal effect (sexual dysfunction, breast growth, muscle atrophy, softening of bones),
  • reduction in the size of the adenoma, which will avoid surgery.

  • weakening of sexual desire and erection,
  • decreased PSA, which hides prostate cancer.

The effect of administration is described after 4-5 months, which means adenoma decreases without the need for surgery.

Alpha blockers

These drugs are available in encapsulated and tablet forms. Drugs based on tamsulosin, doxazosin, terazosin are considered the most promising, highly effective drugs for drug treatment without surgery.

Criteria for the appointment of alpha-blockers:

  • intensive clinic of urination disorders,
  • the volume of the enlarged organ with an adenoma is not more than 55cm³.

The advantages of non-surgical treatment of adenoma with alpha-blockers:

  • quick relief of symptoms (relief two days after taking the pills),
  • do not mask a malignant tumor of the prostate (do not reduce the level of PSA),
  • improve the blood lipid spectrum,
  • prevent diabetes (increase the sensitivity of insulin receptors).

The maximum effect is observed after 3-5 months from the start of administration. Alpha-blockers do not reduce the size of the tumor, but affect the clinical manifestations. Therefore, they can be used to treat prostate adenoma without surgery in patients for whom surgical intervention is contraindicated.

  • aggravation of problems with potency,
  • drop in blood pressure
  • tachycardia,
  • the entry of seminal fluid during ejaculation into the bladder,
  • vision problems
  • headache,
  • weakness.

Candles

propolis candles

Rectal suppositories are widely used to suppress the growth of prostate adenoma. Non-surgical treatment exclusively with suppositories will not give noticeable relief to the patient, however, a combination with the leading groups of drugs will provide potentiation of actions.

Candles are prepared on the basis of the dried prostate of young animals. The most popular are Vitaprost, Uroprost, Prostatilen. In addition, the dried prostate is a part of not only suppositories, but also tablets and injections (Prostacor, Samprost).

Complex treatment

The modern pharmaceutical industry produces medicines for the treatment of BPH, combining the latest generation of substances - the results of scientific developments. Combined drugs allow treatment without surgery for tumor lesions of the prostate.

Is it possible to cure prostate adenoma without surgery using modern combination drugs? Means combine the main active components:

  • inhibitors of the enzyme 5 alpha reductase,
  • plant components
  • alpha adrenergic blockers.

Doctors consider the combination of tamsulosin and dutasteride drugs to be an effective combination. This treatment allows you to avoid or permanently delay surgery for prostate adenoma.

  • a combination of alpha-blockers and reductase inhibitors is used with an impressive size of the detected tumor and a tangible clinic,
  • with an irritative clinic, adrenoblockers and creeping palm preparations are used,
  • in obstructive clinic and major adenoma, the sum of Serenoa repens and an inhibitor of 5 alpha reductase are used.

You need to know that popular drugs to increase potency (Cialis, Viagra) do not affect the size of the tumor and the pathogenesis of the disease. Medicines can aggravate the course of cardiovascular disease.

BPH treatment - conservative, surgical and home

How and how to treat prostate adenoma most effectively? When diagnosing adenoma or prostatic hyperplasia, the question arises of choosing a treatment method. Modern medicine offers several ways to combat the disease.

Prostatic hyperplasia has several stages of development. At the initial stage, the symptoms are either absent or mild. Increased in volumes of iron puts pressure on the upper part of the urethra, which is the reason for frequent urges and additional tension of the muscles of the abdominal cavity to completely empty the bladder.

At the first stage of the disease, significant changes in the structure and functioning of the organs of the genitourinary system are not observed.

stages of prostate adenoma

The second stage of prostate adenoma is diagnosed in cases where the patient's residual urine begins to linger in the bladder, the volume of which in especially advanced cases can reach a liter.

The second stage is characterized by structural changes in the muscular membrane of the bladder. The urination process can take place intermittently and requires considerable effort.

Sometimes prolonged stress leads to the formation of hernias and prolapse of the rectum.

The third degree is the most severe. The volume of residual urine can reach up to 2 liters. Patients have an expansion of the upper urinary tract, impaired renal and bladder function up to acute urinary retention. If you do not take urgent measures and do not start emergency treatment, the third stage can be fatal.

Before starting treatment for prostatic hyperplasia, the doctor determines the degree of structural changes in the genitourinary system. In addition, the age of the patient, his general condition, the characteristics of the course of the disease, the risk of developing certain complications are taken into account.

The main methods of treating inflammation of the prostate

  • dynamic observation
  • drug therapy
  • surgical intervention.

Dynamic observation can be used if the patient has just begun to develop prostate adenoma. Treatment consists in the constant supervision of a doctor and making certain changes to your usual lifestyle.

Drug therapy involves the use of two types of drugs: alpha-blockers and 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. In addition to them, the patient may be recommended to take herbal remedies, antibiotics, antimicrobial drugs.

Surgery is recognized as one of the most effective methods of dealing with adenoma, but it is also associated with a large number of risks and complications. Let us consider in more detail each of the methods.

Prevention of adenoma

In order not to provoke the further development of the disease, some changes in the usual way of life will be needed. Patients are advised to reduce the amount of fluid consumed, to give up alcohol and coffee. From the diet, it is necessary to exclude spicy and fatty dishes with a lot of spices. Instead, they should consume more vegetables and fruits, vegetable juices, products with a high content of zinc.

There are also folk recipes for adenoma, which can help men who have begun to develop prostate adenoma. Treatment at home using traditional medicine methods must be agreed with a doctor.

So, to prevent the transition of the disease to the next stage, you can regularly eat 3 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds before meals. Parsley is very useful for prostate hyperplasia. You can use it in any form.

You can, for example, drink a tablespoon of juice squeezed from the leaves of a plant before eating. It is believed that a decoction of parsley root is no less useful. To prepare it, 0.5 cups of crushed root should be poured with 1 liter of boiling water and insisted for at least 8 hours.

Strained infusion should be drunk throughout the day.

A lot of zinc is also found in birch leaves. They are crushed and brewed at the rate of 2 tablespoons per half liter of water. A day is recommended 4-5 times to drink 100 ml of infusion.

In folk medicine, beekeeping products are also widely used. For the treatment of prostatic hyperplasia, propolis alcohol infusion is used. It is prepared as follows: 20 g of propolis is crushed and 80 g of alcohol is poured, periodically the solution is shaken until it acquires a homogeneous consistency. Ready tincture is taken before meals 3 times a day for 35-40 drops.

It should be remembered that with the slightest deterioration in the condition, you must immediately consult a doctor. If a man has a rapid proliferation of glandular tissue and problems with urination have begun, drug therapy is used.

Surgical treatment of inflammation of the prostate gland

In the event that a patient is diagnosed with grade 3 prostate adenoma, treatment is usually carried out by surgical intervention. Surgery is the most effective way to get rid of hyperplasia, but there is a risk of developing postoperative complications. Indications for surgical intervention are the lack of improvement after taking medications, acute urinary retention or large volumes of residual urine, and the development of life-threatening complications.

Depending on the general condition of the patient, his age group and the characteristics of the course of the disease, one or another surgical treatment is used. Prostate adenoma in men is most often removed by transurethral resection.

This method involves the introduction of a special instrument through the urethra. With its help, overgrown tissues are removed and brought out. The advantages of this method are minimal trauma to tissues and organs.

Thanks to this, the rehabilitation period is significantly reduced.

Much less often today, such a method as transvesical adenomectomy is used. This is an open operation in which the skin, subcutaneous fatty tissue, muscle tissue and the wall of the bladder are cut. It is used for large prostates, as well as in the presence of certain complications.

After surgery, a certain percentage of patients may experience complications: bleeding, urinary incontinence, retrograde ejaculation, impaired erectile function.

Before deciding on surgical treatment, it is necessary to discuss with the doctor all the negative consequences. This is especially true for younger men, for whom it is important to preserve sexual function.

If the patient's condition does not allow one of the above operations to be performed, stenting of the urethra is performed. At the same time, a small frame is installed in its upper section, which prevents the channel from being crushed and provides free outflow of urine.

Due to the constant progress in the medical industry, the methods for treating prostatic hyperplasia are constantly being improved and become more effective. Timely seeking medical help can increase the chances of a complete cure.

The term prostate adenoma is called benign hyperplasia (enlargement) of its paraurethral glands. The disease is characteristic of men aged 40-50 years, and after 80 years, adenoma occurs in 96%. If the pathology is not treated, it can lead to acute urinary retention, cystitis, pyelonephritis, urolithiasis, hematuria.

Stages of the disease

Prostatic hyperplasia develops gradually. As the tumor grows, certain symptoms appear in men. Over time, the condition only worsens. The clinical picture of prostatic hyperplasia at different stages:

StageCharacteristic symptomsHazard rating
Compensation
  • difficulty urinating
  • burning in the urethra,
  • itching in the perineum
  • general fatigue
  • sluggish stream of urine
  • increased urge to urinate day and night
The disease causes discomfort, does not pose a danger.
Subcompensation
  • retention of urine,
  • feeling of thirst
  • turbid urine, impurities of blood in it,
  • involuntary allocation of drops of urine with overflow of the bladder.
The disease is dangerous by joining secondary infections, squeezing the urinary tract.
Decompensation
  • small amounts of urine
  • severe pain in the lower abdomen,
  • thirst, dry mouth,
  • nausea,
  • almost impossible bladder emptying
  • lack of appetite.
Hyperplasia can lead to acute urinary retention, a sharp violation of the water-electrolyte balance and even death from uremia.

What are the most effective treatments for prostate hyperplasia

As auxiliary methods of treating prostate adenoma, traditional medicine and physiotherapy are used. If you start the fight against the disease at an early stage, you can avoid surgery. The main methods of treating prostate adenoma:

Treatment groupAt what stage are adenomas effective?
MedicationThey bring a positive result at the 1st and 2nd stages of prostatic hyperplasia.
Non-drug
SurgicalUsed at the stage of decompensation. The operation can be prescribed at the stage of subcompensation, if the patient has severe pain or adenoma significantly worsens the quality of life.

Medication

The effectiveness of drug therapy has been proven for stages 1-2 of prostate hyperplasia. It allows you to delay surgical treatment of the prostate gland. The main groups of drugs used:

Drug groupMechanism of actionAppointment ExamplesContraindications
Alpha1-adrenergic receptor antagonistsThe muscle fibers of the prostate and bladder are relaxed, and the process of urination is normalized.
  • Omnik,
  • Cornam
  • Dalphaz,
  • Adenorm.
  • peripheral vascular atherosclerosis,
  • arterial hypotension,
  • jumps in blood pressure,
  • severe violations of the liver.
5 alpha reductase inhibitorsThey inhibit the production of dihydrotestosterone, which helps to reduce the size of the prostate.
  • Proscar
  • Penester,
  • Finasteride
  • Duasteride.
  • prostate cancer,
  • hypersensitivity to the composition of the drug,
  • obstructive uropathy,
  • renal failure
  • acute inflammatory diseases
  • prostatitis.
Herbal preparationsNormalize urination, relieve other symptoms of prostatic hyperplasia.
  • Prostamol Uno,
  • Peormixon
  • Afala.
Allergy to herbal components of drugs.

Non-drug

At the first stage of prostate adenoma, doctors first resort to non-drug methods of treatment. They help stop the growth of adenoma. Such techniques include:

  • Physiotherapy. With prostate adenoma, laser therapy, electrophoresis, thermal ablation, acupuncture, therapeutic mud baths are useful.
  • Massage. With prostate adenoma, stroking the sacrum along the oblique muscles of the abdomen with the transition to the buttocks, thighs and perineum.
  • Diet therapy. Men need to eat barley, buckwheat, oatmeal, vegetables, dairy and sour-milk products, lean meat and fish, greens.
  • Gymnastics. Useful exercises such as “scissors”, “bicycle”, push-ups, twisting on the press. Good results with prostate adenoma show yoga classes.

Surgical

  • The operation is prescribed for acute urinary retention, the appearance of blood in urine, the formation of stones in the bladder and frequent infections of the urinary tract.
  • A relative indication for surgical treatment is the ineffectiveness of drug therapy.
  • Possible options for surgery:
Type of operationEssence
AdenomectomyAn open operation in which the anterior abdominal wall and bladder are dissected to remove the adenoma.
Transurethral resectionThe removal of the tumor occurs through the urethra, into which a flexible probe with a camera is inserted.
Transurethral incisionAn endoscope is inserted through the urethra, adenoma tissue is dissected using a laser beam or current in the area where it adjoins the bladder.
Transurethral needle ablationA cystoscope is inserted into the urethra, which transmits radio waves. They heat and destroy the tumor.

Traditional medicine for adenoma

The effectiveness of folk remedies is noticeable only in the early stages of prostate adenoma. The treatment of large prostatic hyperplasia should be carried out only under the supervision of a doctor. Judging by the reviews, the following remedies help reduce the symptoms of adenoma:

  • For 40 g of propolis, take 200 ml of alcohol, add 3 g of cocoa butter, mix. Form rectal suppositories from the resulting mass, inject 1 pc into the rectum every day.
  • Grind 100 g of aspen bark, pour 200 ml of vodka, insist for 2 weeks. Drink 20 drops of infusion dissolved in a glass of water. Take 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2 months.

Modern treatment methods without surgery

There are minimally invasive treatments for prostate adenoma. In some cases, they help completely stop the growth of the tumor. Modern techniques include:

  • Stenting. The bottom line is installing the stent at the site of narrowing of the urethra. With it, the outflow of urine is normalized. The operation helps relieve symptoms of obstruction.
  • Balloon dilatation. The bottom line is the introduction of a catheter into the urethra with a balloon balloon at the end. It expands the urinary tract at the site of narrowing.
  • Thermotherapy. The bottom line is exposure to the tumor at different temperatures. The effect of the procedures is a reduction in the size of the prostate adenoma. Thermotherapy includes: transurethral vaporization, cryodestruction, transrectal microwave therapy, interstitial laser therapy, focused ultrasound of high intensity.

Alternative treatment of prostate adenoma

Among the specific methods of physiotherapy for the treatment of prostate adenoma, mud applications stand out. This procedure is called peloid therapy. The goal of mud therapy is to increase blood circulation in the pelvic organs. Features:

  • Mud is applied to the projection area of the prostate gland or mud tampons are inserted into the rectum.
  • The course of therapy is 10-15 procedures.
